He has experience being a board member and a Treasurer for several non-profit organizations. Over the past twenty years, Tim has worked in Accounting and Finance roles for various organizations ranging from small non-profits to international corporations.
A stroke from a blood clot in his mid-teens led Tim to experience the rehabilitation facilities of Lions Gate hospital and GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre. In his post stroke life, Tim has built on his strengths by focusing on what he can do as opposed to what he can't. A recreational athlete in his early years Tim enjoys playing competitive sports and has found that he can inspire others by just getting out there and competing. Having limited community rehabilitation resources available early on, Tim's rehabilitation has consisted of activities outside of traditional rehabilitation sources. He feels that he would have benefited from having more support systems available for his recovery and has an interest in making sure that others know of the rehabilitation services and groups available to them.
