Grandparent Program a Huge Success:

At the Community Centre where Langley Stroke Recovery group meets, Stroke
Survivors visit preschool children on a weekly basis.  This unique program
has been operating for 3 years now.  Each year eager little ones embrace our
loving and patient "Grandparent". We have found that both the children and
the stroke survivors gain from this wonderful friendship and mentorship.
They read stories and make puzzles or whatever the children have in mind
that week.
We like to think of this as a wonderful example of "Community
Reintegration".

SRABC supports local stroke recovery branches across the province. There are branches on Vancouver Island, in the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, Northern BC and the Interior.
