STROKE RECOVERY MONTH
Stroke Recovery Association of British Columbia

Dear SRABC Supporter:

The Stroke Recovery Association of BC would like to invite you to celebrate Stroke Recovery Month with us this year!!
Coming in the month of June:

  • Bus Ad Campaign beginning June 1st,  2009
  • Naramata Summer Retreat for SRABC Members, June 5th-7th, 2009
  • 'Strides for Strokes' Walk is being held June 14th 2009. Walk, run or wheelchair from John Lawson Park, Ambleside to Dundarave Park and back!

Strides for Strokes has made a huge impact to raise awareness and fundraise for the Stroke Recovery Association of BC and the North Shore Stroke Recovery Centre. In the past few years, the walk has grown to become a regional event that supports other stroke recovery communities in BC. Over the next few years, our goal is to expand Strides for Stroke to other regions including the Northern, Interior, Island, and Fraser Valley Regions.

All funds raised go directly to program enhancement, and service delivery; for example the North Shore has been able to increase speech therapy and music therapy as a result of funds raised.  SRABC would like to strengthen communication programs, exercise programs and education in our branches and is committed to achieving these goals. We welcome you to participate in our month long effort to raise stroke recovery awareness in British Columbia.
